Aztec Coaching Radio Show kicks off Wednesday




The Aztec Coaching Show debuts on Wednesdays.

SAN DIEGO – As the highly anticipated 2021 campaign quickly approaches for the San Diego State football schedule, fans can tune into XTRA Sports 1360 San Diego on Wednesday, September 1 for the season premiere of the Aztec Coaches Show at 6 p.m. PT.

SDSU Head Coach Brady hoke is set to join co-hosts Jon Schaeffer and Rich Ohrnberger for an hour every Wednesday throughout the season to discuss the X’s and O’s, a preview of the upcoming game, a recap of the previous week and much more. Moreover.

San Diego State opens their schedule on Saturday, September 4, when they face New Mexico State at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, Calif. Kick-off is 7:30 p.m. PT.

Radio coverage of the Aztec-Aggies clash begins at 5:30 p.m. PT on XTRA Sports 1360 San Diego with the pre-game show hosted by Mike Costa and former large SDSU receiver JR Tolver, which will air simultaneously on 101 KGB FM, from 6:30 a.m.

Saturday’s Aztec season opener will air on XTRA Sports 1360 San Diego and 101 KGB-FM, with Ted Leitner once again taking care of play-by-play responsibilities, while Rich Ohrnberger provides analysis. Jon Schaeffer, who will host the half-time and post-game shows on the same two stations, rounds out the SDSU’s programming.

San Diego State will play seven of its 12 games during the 2021 campaign at Dignity Health Sports Park and have only one road competition in the first six weeks of the season. In addition to Saturday’s opener, the Aztecs’ home roster includes high-profile games against Utah, Boise State, Fresno State and Nevada. Five of the six FBS opponents SDSU will face at home this year finished the 2020 season with a record 0.500 or better.
