Foreign Minister Nanaia Mahuta said she accepted assurances that the Solomon Islands’ bilateral security agreement with China was not about the militarization of Honiara.

She says this assurance was given very publicly by the prime minister of the Solomons at the recent Pacific Forum meeting in Fiji.
